Oh the excitement of seeing what God will do!

If you haven't viewed out website lately, please do here! There is another blog there.

There has been a lot of mission orientated prayer around the N5 lately. We feel God pulling Jenny directly into midwifery and she needs training to become a full-blown midwife. So we hit our knees first, the Internet second. With fervent prayer and active looking, God directed us to exactly what we had been praying for.

Mercy Maternity offers women and families the opportunity to "Earn a degree in midwifery while serving on the mission field" and since we want to be in full time ministry during training and we are able to do this through Mercy while being enrolled at Newlife International School of Midwifery. It is "A Christian Mission-Based School For Direct Entry Midwife Students". There are no other midwifery training programs that are Christian based or that offer women the opportunity to serve while learning.

If accepted we will be gone for two years in the Philippines. We would leave in early June 2010. We have applied and are requesting early approval in September.

Here are our prayer requests:
1. That we are accepted
2. That we will continue to have spiritual and emotional support
3. That we will be able to raise all of our funds. We will need on-going as well as 1-time gifts
4. That we will be able to sell our house promptly. It's going on the market today

Please pray with us. This is an amazing adventure that we are overjoyed about. "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:16b

Please feel free to leave a comment or to call us directly. We love to hear from you!
